A man has been confirmed dead near the search area in North Hakkoda, where a man searching for bamboo shoots had gone missing. Police suspect a bear attack and are rushing to identify the victim.
In the mountains of Hakkoda in Arakawa, Aomori City, Masaharu Kudo, 63, a company employee from Kuroishi City, went missing yesterday morning while out looking for bamboo shoots, and search efforts have been ongoing.
