The earliest overseas reviews of Toy Story 5 are in: “10 out of 10, no complaints,” “a masterpiece on par with 1 through 3,” “I was a sobbing mess,” “kids today and adults who were kids when the first movie came out can both enjoy it.”

“Toy Story 5 is a heartwarming and brilliant comeback for Pixar Animation Studios. It reminds you why the Toy Story series remains one of the greatest film franchises of all time.

Toy Story 5 stands alongside the first three films. It perfectly blends humor, emotion, and that unmistakable Pixar magic.

There’s already a spin-off episode about a kid obsessed with games, so it doesn’t feel that fresh.
In that one, it just ended with the kid playing with toys after all.

Honestly, I think it’s a one-hit wonder carried by the ending.

And even that doesn’t hit if you’re the type who still can’t let go of toys, unlike Andy.
