On June 25th (local time), the Japan national soccer team drew 1-1 against Sweden in their third group stage match of the North/Central American World Cup, securing a 2nd place finish in Group F. It has been decided that they will face Brazil in the Round of 32.
“Honda-ism” was once again in full effect during this match. Keisuke Honda, who appeared as a commentator on NHK General TV for his third consecutive World Cup, has become a fan favorite since the last tournament for his unique vocabulary and insight when breaking down field events and plays.
