It was freaking hot last year, though.

2Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:06:01.41 ID: ID:/5vQFXBv0

It’s cool today.

3Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:06:30.40 ID: ID:CeIH6TUR0

If it doesn’t get warm, the tomatoes won’t ripen.

4Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:06:59.13 ID: ID:T2RP8Nvu0

In my prefecture, the forecast shows the usual 30-35°C (86-95°F) starting in a week. I hate it already.

5Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:07:05.07 ID: ID:Qgo8czOL0

I wish this temperature lasted until September every year.

6Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:07:53.55 ID: ID:6rgXx9Yt0

Apparently, Europe is dealing with over 40°C (104°F) without air conditioning.

7Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:08:11.52 ID: ID:VQ41Z3et0

Looks like the cool weather is over in a few days.
I don’t think I can handle 34°C (93°F).

8Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:08:39.88 ID: ID:NANgw3cma

Don’t let your guard down.

9Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:08:52.68 ID: ID:qwKbRvvr0

It’s humid, though.

10Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:09:16.37 ID: ID:5ye3ZF190

Wonder how long this will last…

11Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:09:33.75 ID: ID:iHaYsREu0

Maybe that’s why old people are so stingy about turning on the AC.
They remember early summers being like this when they were young, so they think “I’ll be fine,” only to end up getting baked alive in their own homes during a heatwave like last year.

46Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:41:49.93 ID: ID:vCysrEUp0

>>11
Old people also have dulled senses for cold and heat.

12Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:10:00.79 ID: ID:qraUNvr7a

It’s getting damp and sticky; this mild weather is already suspicious.

13Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:10:07.36 ID: ID:U824ok/Y0

My brain is so bugged from last year that I think 35°C isn’t even that bad anymore.

14Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:10:08.80 ID: ID:ZD6kAFRh0

AC units aren’t selling.

15Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:12:28.45 ID: ID:g1VumMcL0

I replaced my AC because it broke, and I’m glad I found out before it got crazy hot.
It took 3 weeks for an install back in early June. If you test yours now and find it broken, you’re dead.

16Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:12:36.89 ID: ID:1MTTJDsp0

Thank god, thank god.

17Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:12:40.31 ID: ID:rYG6yGbM0

I’m getting by with just a fan.

18Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:12:42.50 ID: ID:r9iPheCX0

It’s gonna hit hard in August, isn’t it?

19Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:13:20.66 ID: ID:BF99lMeD0

I haven’t turned on the AC lately.

20Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:13:37.07 ID: ID:LTmTpuam0

Can July just end already… August is a battle of endurance.

21Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:13:39.33 ID: ID:r9iPheCX0

But if the Pacific high-pressure system doesn’t expand, typhoons will come.

23Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:14:34.56 ID: ID:qraUNvr7a

There’s no escaping the humidity.

24Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:15:31.02 ID: ID:9TLLiZD00

It’s going to be hell starting next week because the night temps won’t drop.

25Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:16:24.26 ID: ID:WPDPGNer0

33°C (91°F) feels manageable.

26Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:16:36.04 ID: ID:REu+fspkd

No AC at night is fine.

27Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:16:51.31 ID: ID:nCk8OdCL0

It’s humid and feels hot.

28Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:17:28.90 ID: ID:+mvXaN/F0

People are dying in Europe due to the 40°C heat.

29Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:19:02.79 ID: ID:BqeBRzJy0

I’ve had mine running 24/7 since this week 😊

30Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:20:36.07 ID: ID:AcV8t2n40

In the old days, there weren’t many days that topped 30°C in the summer.

31Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:21:59.27 ID: ID:B+QVOlg20

Once the rainy season ends, it’s really gonna start.

32Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:23:36.91 ID: ID:CY8827VN0

Is it true that people had the AC on max even in June last year?

40Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:29:41.28 ID: ID:CeIH6TUR0

>>34
That’s a lie.
Manufacturers say it’s cheaper to turn it off if you’re leaving the room for more than 30 minutes.

36Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:25:27.88 ID: ID:9Y3ETzVx0

Humidity is a bigger problem than the temperature.

37Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:26:25.50 ID: ID:TZmRfew30

I don’t know if temp affects tomato ripening, but I do know that sunlight on the “fruit” isn’t necessary for them to turn red.
You can cover them in aluminum foil and they’ll still turn red.
It’s a different mechanism from apples.

42Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:33:07.39 ID: ID:CeIH6TUR0

>>37
Tomatoes start ripening once the cumulative temperature hits a certain point.
It’s called “accumulated temperature.”
Since 1,000 degrees from the blooming day is the standard,
if the daily average is 20°C, it takes 50 days to ripen.

38Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:27:11.55 ID: ID:Yaa2CA880

It’s low temp but high humidity, so if I dehumidify, the room gets too cold.
I’m still using a down comforter at night.

39Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:27:13.90 ID: ID:EFyroiWe0

It’s been a long time since we’ve had this much continuous cloud cover.

44Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:34:11.43 ID: ID:odz0a5zb0

I’ve lived in Paris since this spring, and it’s hotter than Tokyo.
I want to go home.

47Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:41:54.75 ID: ID:EFyroiWe0

Apparently, there was no rainy season end during the 1993 El Niño.

48Unknown Japuzz Watcher2026/07/01(Wed) 16:43:13.12 ID: ID:TzufIvuk0

AC units seem to be selling like crazy due to the “2027 problem.”
