【AniPoke】Yu Serizawa to Voice Navi!

Voice actress Yu Serizawa has been cast as Navi in the TV anime “Pokémon”! Shiro (CV: Ura Kazuki) from “Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A” will also be making an appearance.

It has been announced that a new character named “Navi” will appear in the July 3rd episode of the TV anime “Pokémon,” currently airing every Friday at 18:55 on TV Tokyo. Yu Serizawa has been revealed as the voice actor for this character.

I wanted the role of Navi so badly that every night I would pray to my Ditto plushie, “Please, choose me!”

When my manager told me “Congratulations,” I just burst into tears. At the same time, I realized the magnitude of the project I was getting involved in, and I felt a sense of responsibility tighten my nerves.

Navi is the type of person who isn’t afraid of anything. She just dives in saying “Let’s try it!” and she’s totally fine even if she fails! She has the toughness to keep challenging things over and over. She’s younger than the rest of the Rising Volt Tacklers, but she hates being treated like a kid—she kind of looks up to the adults. And above all, she loves Pokémon.

I hope to face Pokémon together with Navi with all my heart, so that everyone can feel that sense of nostalgia, remembering that sparkle they felt when they caught their first Pokémon or the moment they connected with one to overcome an obstacle!

Serizawa has the kind of voice perfect for children’s anime.

I heard the original Navi tried really hard on her English pronunciation.

She can do the “bratty girl” trope, but she’s even better at playing a regular bratty kid that’s just annoying enough.
