On the night of June 28, employee Ms. A (33) and Ryo Tsubosaka (33) were found bleeding in a room at a soapland in Fukuhara, Kobe. The Hyogo Prefectural Police are expected to send the case to the prosecutor’s office with the suspect listed as deceased, suspecting Tsubosaka committed a murder-suicide.

One week has passed since the incident on July 5. The shop where Ms. A worked has resumed operations after implementing safety measures, including metal detectors for customers and banning outside gifts.

The NEWS Post Seven reporting team obtained more detailed information regarding the pair’s relationship. Testimonies from multiple sources reveal Tsubosaka’s “serious obsession” and attachment.

A local reporter looks back on the incident: “Ms. A’s body reportedly had at least three stab wounds to the neck and chest. Tsubosaka, however, only had one wound in the left chest. Based on the position he was found in, he may have stabbed himself and then pushed the blade further in with his own body weight. Blood was found not just on the floor, but on the walls as well.”

An autopsy confirmed the cause of death for both was blood loss. It is believed Tsubosaka had booked Ms. A, locked the room from the inside, and carried out the act.

“The incident took place in a room on the second floor. That was Ms. A’s ‘private room.’ She was a top-tier popular girl, so she was given her own room,” an employee working that day revealed.

“During the time the crime likely occurred, we didn’t hear any screaming. Our walls are actually thin enough that you can normally hear footsteps in the hallway or voices from the next room, but strangely, no one heard any signs of a struggle. Did she get killed without even a chance to resist?”

As previously reported, Ms. A was a popular girl with a large clientele. She had won numerous titles in contests held by adult industry websites. While the shop’s courses usually started at 80 minutes, there was a restriction for Ms. A where customers could only book her for 120 minutes or longer.

Tsubosaka was a regular customer who had been booking Ms. A for about two years. He called himself “Ace-Niki” and often spent hundreds of thousands of yen a week. The investigation revealed he had visited the shop for three consecutive days leading up to the incident.

What kind of relationship did they have? An acquaintance of Ms. A, who is also a sex worker, spoke on condition of anonymity: “He allegedly graduated from a famous private university in Tokyo. He worked in real estate, so he had money to spare.”

“He was definitely ‘seriously in love’ and a ‘whale’ client. He showered her with everything from iPhones to branded makeup removers. He constantly approached her about dating and marriage; he seemed to truly believe he could be with Ms. A.”

Tsubosaka established a corporation in November 2023. In addition to the rental property registered as his business address, another apartment address was identified, with rent estimated at 200,000 yen per month. A website for the real estate company Tsubosaka operated remains online, featuring slogans like “Housing for those who live in the night” and “Real estate specializing in adult industry workers.”
